Jim Sorgi was born in Fraser, Michigan. As an all-around athlete, Jim lettered in basketball, baseball and football. Jim was as good at baseball as he was at football, recording a .450 batting average. As quarterback, Jim set 17 school passing records. During his senior year, he was a first-team All-State selection, USA quarterback. He also played defensive back in high school and intercepted opposing quarterbacks 16 times. Fraser High School retired his number in honor of his performance, progress, and community service through the years.
Being ranked the number one high school quarterback in Michigan, Jim had several choices for college. Jim chose University of Wisconsin-Madison and enrolled in 1999. He graduated in 2003 with a degree in Agricultural Business Management and as the pass efficiency leader, tied for the most passing touchdowns in a single game. Jim ranked 6th for the most passing yards by a Badger quarterback, and the Wisconsin Badger football coaches named Jim “Rookie of the Year”
In the 2004 NFL Draft, Jim was selected by the Indianapolis Colts. As a rookie, he connected with Reggie Wayne for a 71 yard touchdown. He spent six years backing up Peyton Manning before joining the New York Giants to take on the same role for Eli Manning.
Jim currently is the radio color commentary for the Indianapolis Colts games alongside Bob Lamey. He also contributes to Badger football radio. Besides being a radio host, Jim is also involved with many charities and fundraisers in his area. Jim now resides in Brownsburg, Indiana with his wife, Lana, and their three sons, Jimmy, Jackson and Jace.
If you ask Jim what his favorite and most rewarding job has been, he would say being a dad.
Joey Vandever was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In high school, he played baseball, football and basketball, but it was on the baseball field where he shone the brightest. He played junior college at Southeastern Illinois University where he was named Captain and "All-American Outfielder" as a freshman and broke the junior college stolen base record in 1999. As a Division 1 Baseball player on the nationally-ranked team at the University of Evansville, he was named an All-American Outfielder and broke the school’s stolen base record in 2001 with 62 stolen bases.
In 2002, Joey was drafted to play Major League Baseball by the St. Louis Cardinals, and continued to succeed on and off the baseball field. During his rookie year with the team, he led the league in stolen bases, broke the minor league stolen base record in 2003 and maintained a batting average of .320.
Joey holds his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Evansville. Following his professional sports career, Joey held roles with companies as vice president, regional manager and a trainer. He has worked in the medical and financial fields.
Joey and his wife Sarah live in Avon where they are raising their three sons, Cannon, Carson and Caleb. They enjoy watching competitive sports together as well as having quality family time. Joey is a board member of the Avon Junior Athletic Association, Head Coach of the 10U Indiana Hurricanes travel baseball team and the developmental chairman for the Avon High School baseball team.
